I have a set of, oh 8000 or so files, that I need to de-dupe. The files are essentially lists of numbers delimited by returns:
nnnn nnnn
and I would like to sort and de-dupe the numbers within the files themselves. I can do this manually using sort | ...

I'm trying to locate files with the same name and delete all of the smaller sized copies, leaving only the largest. For example: test.jpg = 2kb, test.jpg=9kb, test.jpg=5kb. The 2kb and 5kb files would get deleted, leaving just the 9kb. I've tried a couple...

It then iterates over the basenames, sorts the duplicates and removes all ... .
It then puts them into a hash where the file's basename is the key and the value is a (size, fullpath) pair .
This perl script finds all files starting in the current directory .

As most of us know, dupe saving is server sided, i think it would be awesome if the dupes were saved client sided...
I know build bot has a thing like this...
