Most people shop on price, if they can save on you collecting, fixing and returning it the only lifting they have to do is their wallet .
Have on site price and a shop price.

I just can't handle the support fees....anyone know how to become an authorized tech? Heck i don't even need to be authorized...but I do want to be trained as if I was!! LOL!

All else fails, get a tech manual and read up on your printer.
Many dealers are having to lay of techs recently so look for independant tech, they usually charge less.

For example if you have a laser printer with a bad power supply, they have no problem replacing a power supply me to go through troubleshooting on a bad hard drive even after I provided him with my HP tech ID rated HP repair depots....
