Hi all
Has anyone been to the new Calvary Private Maternity unit? I am having sleepless nights over the place. Haven't been able to see it and was told that there are no baths for the baby or change tables!! I will definitely not survive sharing a room...

My mum actually works in Private maternity and she was given plenty of notice about the move to move up stairs-....
So full in the new maternity ward that they'd had to reopen rooms in 3N, and even then some private on anyone.

I am booked with 2 OB's but we can't decide.
We have a private OB who will deliver at Burnside or a private OB at WCH.
WCH is the better option in terms of cost - but wanted to hear...

If your paying for an OB you may as well .
I get a private room with a huge bath and haven't paid a cent.
However if there is a third time, I think I may want to try a water birth as a private patient.

Just that really, I'm 31 weeks and there is a tour 3 evenings a week to have a look round the maternity unit. Not sure when I should go, think it might be too early yet but don't want to leave it too late

Be allowed to visit to help you feel more comfortable and help you relax! Our maternity ward has been refurbished recently and been changed to all private rooms, only need to be on the ward if they want.
