This is quite uncommon, I would recommend to install with full installation file with new program corrupted when the computer crashed.

I don't have an answer other than to say that the AVG client sometimes fails to write scan results\scanlogs" on the PC you should see the scan logs, though they're binary files so not much use.

I would highly suggest running a scan, if your files are hidden....
What is the error message you receive when you try to load a new program? What is the error message that will hide your files/folders so that you cannot see them normally.

I just woke my computer (Windows Vista) from standby, plugged in my iPod Touch, and it complains that half of the iTunes DLLs are infected with the "Small.BOG" Trojan.
Anybody else seen similar? I believe I have the latest virus definitions.
