I dont know if y'all can do this but i was thinking that maybe at a rank of knight or something the said knight could have access to obtain a droid. like they could get a astromach droid that could follow them around and help them out, kind off like those...

It's quite possible that the way the Droid is designed, it disables power flow to the connector unless it detects a host connection or the wall adapter.
USB is a host-based protocol, relying on the PC for a lot of things.

I connected my Droid 2 to wifi in my house. i have a strong signal but i can't do anything using wifi, it doesn't really work. I read somewhere that it could be an issue with wireless-n. anyone have any input?

This is not a real problem for me because that is still faster than my internet their router settings and say... .
My router can handle all WiFi protocols but I can only get "G" to work with the Droid 2.
