I planted a weeping willow tree about 2 years ago. over those 2 years, ive been pruning
trees that are older, 20 yeares of age. they always have tall trunks, and the weeping branches donw
think the tree will be all right? It is a weeping willow, and I know they are a fairly weak tree

And the term "weeping" willow sadly can't be used. It has MANY knots all over the branches as well ... maybe...
there was an over pruned willow tree ... the branches are trimmed short at the top of the tree
news, but I felt you should be prepared.i like weeping willows!
but yeah, best pruned hard, but not...

I checked the right time of year to prune my willow tree and a book said January to March
sections that may have cankers.

Im pretty sure this is a green weeping willow. Limb split bad in the wind recently.
Just not sure
or very close to it.
Great diagrams.I would cut a fraction above the red line. Because its a willow
formation probably wouldn't be damaged there. Compartmentalization time might be increased

How big of a tree should i get? is this a good time to plant? how far from a 6 foot
, it depends on what kind of willow you are talking about. Weeping willow? Corkscrew willow? ...
willow cut back for plenty of easily accessible curly branches. And weeping willows get huge.)

In Kennesaw GA. The trunk looks heavily pruned to get this shape. I have no idea what it is except
the leaves hang like a Willow does. It is really distinctive and beautiful.

I would like to plant a willow tree. I assume that they are evergreen. How long to they get
probably cut it down.
i wouild go as suggested with maybe a weeping birch... now there is a stunnning
Unless you are planting a willow by the side of a stream or river or to dry out a boggy area

Twisted willow for short)!
I've had this for a few years now, started as a 12ft tree, reduced to a stump
into a weeping form, since that is the image in my head of what a willow is supposed to look like
it into that weeping shape?
