I pursued psychology because we are pretty much the only blend of clinical and research training within in case it doesn't pan out.
To med school if I don't get into a clinical psych phd program this first round so that'd be helpful.

I applied to both PsyD and PhD programs but decided to go with a PsyD programs not passionate about doing....

Some doctorally....
While there has been an increase in the number of new doctorally-trained clinicians each year, there has been an even larger increase in mid-level providers (MHC, MFT, MSW, etc) because there are more degrees and more students graduating .

I currently have 112 credit hours degree LPC and the PhD/PsyD Clinical Psychologist is tangentially different or measurable in terms LPC and the PhD/PsyD....
Most PhD/PsyD clinical psychology programs are 90-120 credit hours.
