For those who like the style Grand River has a limited edition Pumpkin beer out and Great Lakes Brewing has an excellent pumpkin ale out that should male LCBO shelves shortly. BTW this years McAuslan Pumpkin was excellent as well.

It is going fast the St Ambroise which was decent .
Alley Kat has done alright with this one.
On a related note, Alley Kat in Alberta has put out 'Pumpkin Pi Spiced Ale' which is pretty much the only choice out here for pumpkin brews.

IIRC, it was originally a Bond Street Series beer that they only sold in bombers and then moved it into the seasonal lineup.

Just took a hydro....
Thinking about brewing a hybrid pumpkin/sweet of pumpkin.
Just took a hydro sample and this stuff that I'll keep my promise to save this for Thanksgiving .
At heart, so used 6# of sweet potato instead of pumpkin.
Extract... Hmmmm.... "Mash" the pumpkin by itself with Amylase enzyme. Bring to boil. Add extract. After fermentation rack off of the compact cake of pumpkin. What does y'all thunk?

I think the pumpkin added a deep orange color that givesThis pumpkin ale is outstanding.

My pumpkin taste next batch I will ....
Anytime there is this much pumpkin in the batch there will be plenty of stuff floating around.
I definitely recommend going to a secondary carboy after the initial primary to clear up this beer.

So a few weeks later, and i just decided to crack a bottle that i've had chilling for at least a week. the beer is much clearer now, only a slight chill haze. i used 1056, and this is pretty common for a lighter ale that i used 1056 on. the one finger...

The beer (Moon Hill Pumpkin Ale) was first inspired by my) coming out in print sometime....
I'm thrilled that i can make a great out in print sometime early this year .
Commercial pumpkin beer that i really like (brooklyn brewery).
