If the yarn is already in front from a purl on the previous stitch, just leave it there and knit the next stitch.

I just found out I've been purling wrong for the entire time I've been knitting. It's only been three months and I've knitted almost exclusively in the round, but I'm guessing that's why my seed stitch doesn't look right. Now I have to form a new habit...

It makes learning new techniques a little tricky, but I've come to find out that it makes wrapped short rows a piece... .
Thus, I knit into the back strand, which nobody else does .
I'm a lefty, so I learned to knit by exactly mirroring my mom, who is a righty .

I have completed the front and back of a cowl neck sweater. After sewing the shoulder seams I need to pick up stitches around the neckline and knit the collar. Could someone please explain picking up stitches? Any special tips? Thank you

By the way, if you have sewed both shoulder, and it is no where close to 93.... .
Should I try to increase on the purl row to get closer to the 93 stitch count enough to keep in whatever stitch pattern you are doing.

I always like to learn new things. So I stumble upon a lot of stitch patterns (I mean patterns with a certain look that you repeat for pieces of knitting, no complicated charts, but just patterns)
