My neighbor had two little delicate plants near our yard. We admired them every day. The purple flowers fell off at night and it bloomed again next day. Before we could ask what they were, the neighbors dug them up and threw them away!

They're growing in the ditches all over. I'd like to transplant some into the ditch along the road in front of the house, but want to be sure the conditions are right for them.

Sorry... I don't have a photo. But I've been seeing it at two houses on my commute. The flowers remind me of either Petunias or Morning Glories. At first I thought it was just morning glories growing over a shrub, but the flowers are there in the afternoon...

This is another unlabeled plant from Lowe's and the only one of it's kind left on the table. It's about 8 inches tall and the blooms are 1.5 inches across. I was thinking Balloon Flower but the leaves are different from the ones in our database.
