When I was on the Aug' 11 board for a bit last year, there was a lot of talk about push presents. This whole concept of getting a gift for delivering a baby, is foreign to me. I'm pretty confident in stating that it's an "American thing". Am I right? ...

I have never heard the term "push a push....
I would, however never heard of a push present until reading about them on the bump.
But after the baby is born, everyone is asking what the mom got for a push present.

So funny enough, my DH looked at me today and asked what I wanted for my push present? Didn't know what that was and he explained a gift from father to new mother (usually jewelry or something memorable to mark birth of LO)...

As long as the CPU is "given" to other processes when there are some that need it to do their calculations, I suppose it's OK : why not use the CPU if it's available and there is some work to do ?

Basically all of the servers sites/frameworks handle push....
The other way you can get push is to use a "comet server".
