Barrel being slightly wider than the original in some area(s .
Don't forget be caused either by the Rem.
Take it back apart and see what is rubbing.
And cycle it through several sticking cycles.

260rem because is it more widely available.
The extra velocity and case efficieny of the 260AI is too much trouble. Fire forming and donuts, neck turning etc...all the extra steps for brass prep...extra cost of dies etc....not worth it to me.

Both my new to me A-5 mags were single shots in cold weather, with a dry magazine tube. A little Rem oil fixed this. Do you A-5 guys need to lube your magazine tubes in cold weather? (by cold I mean 30 degrees or less)

I have seen a couple of videos of a ruger 10-22 firing subsonic rounds and it cycled it very good. Can a 15-22 cycle it too?

Now it cycles every shot, but I have lost a few birds because.
When the action slows up or starts to stick I spray rem oil on the mag tube and In the reciever problem and this resolution worked.

Just parked it in layaway for $325 total. Chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. Argh. With a 20" barrel; which is the only thing I do not like about it. Guessing it will be a real blaster with non-light loads. Two questions. Who imported Sako Finnbear barreled rifles...

The boltface for a magnum cartridge you are kind of screwed .

Was having some issues with my Rem 1100. Problem was bolt was not closing into battery on the shell pick up by the carrier.
Took it to a guy who worked on guns as more than a hobby. He said he felt the recoil spring was okay but... but the barrel seal...
