I've been thinking about this costume idea, a green ranger helmet with a restyled finn from the black brachio ranger (DT) painted like titanus.
so thats the idea for the helmet but what should the rest of the suit look like?

Sounds good If it were me, id go with a light grey, possibly subtle silver (not mercury ranger and kitbash them perhaps, or just sculpt onto an existing green ranger helmet.

I know this probably has more to do with the footage they used, but why go back to Red as the leader after White Ranger became the leader during MMPR? I'm not meaning Tommy, I mean the White Ranger colour. Why is it story-wise they would go back to Red...

As I understand it, White was never intended to be the leader anyway with to make White a higher rank than Red ... .
That's about it.
That was the way it was written, yes, but why not keep the White as the lead? When Zeo came ranger.

Hirofumi Fukuzawa has been every Red Ranger since Gaoranger with the exception.
