How long did it take you to learn Japanese and start reading RAW manga? I just started studying Japanese on my own... and I'm wondering how long will it take me to be able to actually read raw mangas.
I've already memorized the Kana and read some basic...

Pretty certain you need kanji knowledge to read manga, as well as about 3-4K most common vocab coffee
Write "x" kanji 25 times
Go shower
Go to work/school
During breaks, read a few pages of manga
Go on.
