I'm still hoping for an answer on how to eliminate the exception... .
The "ignored" part is from the shutdown system, and might get its wording improved sometime, per Issue 6294 .
It seems to be an exception in a shutdown function registered by the shelve module .
You know the ones that happens often enough where they need to be fixed, but no one can really reproduce? How do you nail those?

That really depends on....
Including debugging symbols with.
However, I've found that logging really helps when all else fails.

Inline elements can only contain other inline elements and cannot contain block elements .
That's because your HTML is invalid.
That's asking for trouble.
You should not wrap block elements/tags (like <div> ) in inline tags (like <a> ) .

Is this a laptop, or is CPU power saving enabled... .
Speculation: Maybe power saving is kicking your CPU to/from a lower power state .
Jumps on the Y axis seem to be at a fixed frequency on the X axis .
Your second graph seems like it is "bunching" updates.

Apart from that, there doesn't seem to be any obvious reasons why it wouldn't work; perhaps... .
Well, there area few obvious problems that spring out; one is the / before your onerror , and the second is that the <a> in question doesn't seem to be closed .
