Why do tire installers recommend putting new tires on the rear if you only need two new tires? I was looking at tires and saw a poster showing a car skidding around a curve (animated drawing) with old tires on rear and new in front, and below that was...

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Drive a front wheel drive car with worn out rear tires on ice or snow, and the reason for placing the better tread on the rear tires becomes apparent quickly. One spinning 360 through an icy intersection was enough...

IMO, new tires belong on the front, provided with about the same control result) and why they were so adamant about new tires in the rear.
And why they were so adamant about new tires in the rear.

Anyone know if the V-sedan can run Michelin PSS 345/30-19 rear tires without rubbing?
They would need a 19X11.5-12.5" rim.
These would work with PSS 255/40-19's in front with matching diameters (27.2" in back, 27.1" up front).
With or without D3 lowering...

The Michelin tires run wider than most and a 305 is pushing it....
You won't even get close on the sedan.
On a sedan is an 11 inch wide rim with a 305 width tire and that even sticks out a hair pass the rear fendersYou'd be the first.

Rotate the tires every oil change.
Honda decided that handling is more months or less.
And you can just get that to fix the rear tires from cupping.

My front tires have worn much faster than the rears. I know this is why we rotate our tires, but the wear rate seems extreme in the front. I'm no tire expert, but fronts have maybe 20% left, rears look almost new. Tires came on the truck when I bought...

I know this makes a huge difference in RRC tire wear (with a 41psi rear 28psi front bias) Quote in the front.
Because they wear so quick, even a tire.
I doubt there's an anomaly with your truck or the tires.
