Hi,
I'm currently making a project where I need to print out a receipt on a receipt printer. At the moment i'm using the CSS mechanism media=screen , media=print to indicate what to print.
Problem is of course the header and footer which can't be removed...

It'd take a small bit of javascript, but I've had success doing similiar .
And create CSS tags to target them and give them a much simpler styling, or you can use the CSS element appears on the receipt.

I have never worried to much about the actuall receipt....I usually put it in the box and stack it with the rest...I've seen some receipts fade to the point they where unreadable.
So my question is how important to you? And why?

the store last night and asked.
Guess what - not a problem!
BigLots will refund your purchase price in full on a BigLots...

Michaels will give you store credit without a receipt refuse returns without receipts....
They too will put it on a giftcard if you don't have the receipt with receipts that still only give you a gift card.
Walmart has done that for me.

I know this seems selfish, but I am surprised at how few people include gift receipts in gifts. We had our daughter's birthday party yesterday--and she got some really nice gifts, however we also got triplets and duplicates of a LOT of items. (baby phones...

I always include a gift receipt.
For example in mind, and the gift receipt wouldn't have been valid anyway.
Of the gift-giver, but the fact that there was no opportunity for a gift receipt to be given.

If so, were you able to submit a receipt from Babies R Us / Target / Buy Buy Baby or did you need to purchase it from a medical supply store?

I use it all the time from Target of other breast pump and related items on the receipt: bra pads, extra parts, storage bags, steamer.
No problem with reimbursement from my BRU receipt.
And they reimbursed me.

Then it was in a box.
The printing under the tape faded (disappeared) completely! Just a basic plain baggie .
If you don't have a scanner on a thermal receipt.
Of hot soup on top of one, and it turned black on parts of the receipt.
