I received my first alert from comprotodo that effective Feb 13-16 you can recharge a Cuban cell phone for half price. There are a few entities that do this for about the same price but the one that seems both the cheapest and most reliable is this one...

To state the obvious 3, 6, 9 cell batteries are the number of physical cells in there, meaning that to convert the 3 cell battery to 6 cell, would require you.
I seriously doubt this is possible.
