I stocked up on stamps before the price increase. I want send a letter recorded delivery. How do I do this? If I put the correct number of stamps on will the post office give me a tracking number?

recorded delivery I certainly never received any confirmation! You don't get automatic confirmation this is the case.

Posted 19/4 and is still showing as out for delivery!! What sort of useless service is this. 1st class should be overnight virtually yet 2 weeks later and the damn thing is still floating in the ether. Bloody useless the lot of them.

I found that around a 3rd of recorded delivery items never get signed for, Or recorded on the system if signed for.

I send everything out first class recorded and for months its been spot on whether it got delivered or not.
The track and trace used to let buyers know that the item was sent form "X" Post office and when, if it didnt get delivered a note would be left...
