With the 3 armor reduction tools we now have I am confused about which one to use. I have a pair of 2-slot leggings which cover upper leggs and lower leggs. I want them to be tassets.

Prepare to be trolled, people down here don't like Armor pen and usually prefer imagining stats, I dont think one person mentioned the armor pen.

I have run a test on the stacking of fortification reduction effects and my results are not very encouraging. A little searchfu strongly suggests stacking should apply but nothing definite was found. A little testing shows otherwise.

Ok so i have around 10.5k armor with DA. whis is 28% damage reduction. lets just say for now its 30%. plus i have soul link up with glyph thats another 30% reduction. and if you factor in my resiliance which is 2916 which gives me almost 31% reduction...

Fuk it warlocks now need....
Instead of a flat out 90% reduction leaving pretty good.
Another 30% from armor, 5k (rounded) 25% from soul link leaves you at 3750.
So flat out 30% reduction from resil.
And hits for 10k against mobs.

There are times when I wonder why I bother putting heavy armor on a fighter, paladin, ect... at some point it really doesn't make a difference anymore unless you put a major effort into raising your ac. You see many builds opting for the dexterity route...

Always annoying that pajamas with no skill penalties can be more AC than a full plate and shield turtled tank. So how to make it fair, add realism, not destroy the game math mechanics, and still keep it simple? Can we have a stacking Damage Reduction ...

Damage Reduction (DR) already exists egregious ....
So the armor applies to AC values.
The solution is great for builds that wear armor, but it does not solve the actual target inside his armor.
For the skill reduction.
