Ok, we've got 2 kids and have just opened Halifax kids reg savers at 6% AER for both (no money transfered in as yet)
I've noticed that 1st Direct are doing reg saver with 8% AER rate which on the surface sounds more attractive than the halifax saver
However...

Was wondering who does the best interest? I'm with Natwest and ideally i wanted to open it with them. The savings account they offer is the Young Savers account, the interest is 0.80%. Is there anywhere that does a greater interest rate?

I'm confused, I thought Reg Q -Interest on Deposits had been removed as of 7/21/11. Now I'm being told it has not and policy and procedures are needed for compliance purposes. Does anyone know about this?
