I have a number of friends who have hot tubs with either an ozanator or ultra-violet light disenfection system that have been told by their dealers that they do not need to maintain a free chlorine level because of the built in systems. It seems that ...

These systems do not produce a fast-acting disinfectant that remains? Are you not adding any chlorine....
Neither an ozonator nor a UV system produces chlorine so there is no Free Chlorine (FC) in such spas unless chlorine is added.

Hi All
I was just wondering what peoples opinions were about bubbling air through tapwater to remove the chlorine. In about 24 hours all the Cl should be removed and the water should be safe to put into the tank.

Can anyone tell me how long it typically takes for this to evaporate out on its own?
I would use aeration to circulate the water. I would think a few days would do it.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I find a 45 gallon barrel with chlorine clears for Chloramine? I really don't like to use....
Use a dechlorinator, I've read 4-24 hours for chlorine, 24-168 hours for chloramine depending on the levels in the water, exposure to sun, air, etc.

Normally the chlorine will be sufficient, both to create bromine from your bromide bank stop using Renew, then you may need to increase the amount of chlorine bleach you are adding and sanitizers such as chlorine and bromine.....

The best thing to do with chlorinated water is to either boil it first for at least....
You can dechlorinatechlorine is added to the water as a preservative .
It claims to remove 99.99% of the chlorine.
The water just doesn't taste good.
