Less rentals available on the market Jan-Mar because owners are "in residence".
He isn't in PV full time by the owners.

On my last visit to Mexico ( Quintana Roo ), I was able to rent a cell phone for the week. It was very cheap and convenient. Are there any places in Bucerias or near PV that rent cell phones? Thanks.

Just a thought...you can purchase a Telcel cell phone for about $30.00 and use pay as you go...and use it the next time! We have purchased a Telcel phone for $40 and it came with a $30 phone card .
Gecko rent a car has them in Bucerias.

You could start with www.vrbo.com Yeh, Kansas , I get your drift :) I thought Mr.QT would choke if he walked by and saw the condos and the rental price.

When I look online the car rentals appear so inexpensive but if I remember correctly and additional insurance is mandatory which adds quite a few $$$. Is this still correct? I am wondering if while at Paradise Village in Neuva Vallarta cabs are a better...

Email going to the PV/NV area for over 25 years and been all around the bay and never had a car.
Gives you more freedom with only one tank of gas .
Best way to get around is a rental car.

12 person van rental...longhorn, Capps, or other? Yelp and review sites are limited and range everywhere from 'they can have my kids' to 'they suck, believe me, no details why'.
I need a 12-pass van next weekend for my wife's birthday. Maybe use 100 miles...

Any help appreciated. Will be staying just one night in PV on our way home on 2/11. Any guidance on where to stay/eat for just 24 hours. Will not have a rental car, so mostly walking. Thanks!

On the way home by bus? On the way home, staying overnight in between flights? With PV being will be driven from Sayulita into PV on Saturday and flying out on Sunday evening.
