I'm now into my center console and the upper mounting tabs are broken. I want to repair it and paint it, so I was hoping some of you fellows may be able to steer me in the right direction.

Wet sand with a higher ~2000.
Then clear it.
Lightly wet sand with a high grit paper.
I'm just gonna take my time and stuff and hope coats of paint.
Automotive paint supplier so it will match.
