Case Western I also felt was a great program, but people have different locations get overlooked by many applicants....
Vanderbilt comes to mind as a program I thought was really good in all the spheres you described, without being very competitive.

Just interviewed at Loyola University Program last week, the residents seem to be a very incohesive group, seemed unhappy and depressed. One of them infact told me not to rank this place as he was about to leave the program.

This question is mainly geared to current and past residents. What makes your residency good or not-so-good? I know that I personally associate the caliber of the residency with the ranking of the college of pharmacy/medicine with which it is associated...

If a resident who is a PGY 3 leaves a residency program at the end of the year, is it legal for the program to fill it with a PGY 2 if they cannot get a PGY 3 or a PGY1?

Yale med students are evaluated by residents, but it's not required.

Anything outside of the really big names, but not a community program or malignant of the running for a so-called 'big name' program, though I agree some may have research or DO biases -- which of DO's who had no problems....

I know that this residency shortage is bad for everyone involved. I believe all who finish school should have a residency come graduation.
Some people on this forum are warning the pre-pods as well they should.
However, the warnings should go to the incoming...
