I am thinking of trying something different from my usual paddock boots and half chaps. When I occasionally ride western I wear jeans and cowboy boots but cowboy boots look stupid with breeches. I'm looking for a casual tall boot that works with breeches...

I think you could put a waterproof treatment on the boots which would help for stirrups.

Ok, I'm on the hunt for some nice neat leather long boots for showing...I don't want gaiters either.
So I am an 8 usually which poses an issue as they then assume I am taller than I am...and also have very skinny legs which I haven't so the only boots...

Your best with regular calf height riding boots ....
I ride in tall boots when I show and for normal riding, I wear half-chaps and paddock boots, which suit straps can nip your legs, unless you wear chaps ontop.

DD just started lessons again and I want to get her a bag to keep her boots, helmet and gloves in. I would prefer one bag for all and one that keeps her helmet/gloves separate from her boots. She's just using work boots, not paddock boots or anything ...
