I love my leather jacket , however in 90 degree Indiana summer heat it can be a bit much. I certainly dont want to ride in a t-shirt. Anyone have any suggestions on a jacket that can help me cool and somewhat protected ?

They go for $150 but had a buddy get out of riding and give it to me I just got rid of a SHIFT jacket that....
It will keep you cooler and you won't be any less in elbows,shoulder,back spine .
Just look for a ventilated leather jacket.

Just upgraded to a SYM HD200 from a Honda Metro and decided that a riding jacket would probably be nice to have so if a crash happens hopefully I won't lose all my skin. Anyways, I live in Colorado so I would prefer something that could be used year round...

TheReaper! Yeah, Joe Rocket has some very price-effective stuff.
If you shop around you should be able to get a nice jacket in the $150 range .
