I don't understand why everyone always talks about riding with shoes with heels to be safe.
I have Sprenger jointed stirrups and there is no way my foot could ever slide through-with or without a heeled shoe.
Where does this come from?

shoes will keep your feet toasty well below the temps you are riding in:

I used to ride vans buying mtb shoes, i tried the 661 filter shoes, and i still use them when i ride clipless.
Posted above this one when it comes to shoes, dont limit yourself to price.

After talking with the farrier, it looks like we'll be putting Gus in shoes for at least a little while. Farrier recommended Natural Balance shoes.
Anyone out there with any experience with these shoes? pros? cons?

I feel using the NB shoes does make it "easier" for some Natural Balance is more....
I use them mostly used endurance riding and other trail work.
To trim him properly, no shoe will help.

So I'm wondering what shoe to get for riding on platform pedals. As far as "women's" shoes, is five ten karvers the only option? They look very well made but for that price they better last several years. Any ladies riding platforms that care to share...
