Why is it in WoW that we are given numerous quests in which we are to torture the prisoner in order to extract information? Why is it that said information is always accurate, when in real life, it has been shown that most prisoners under torture make...

Is purposeless torture moral?
Most governments seem to believe that torture is an immoral and evil thing and most do not have what we would call a torture chambers. Lets ignore Guantanamo Bay and other exceptions please.

I tend to agree so then, yes, torture under certain conditions would be considered the right Hell is a place of purposeless torture and pain.

I just had to turn off the tv because Fireflies by Owl city was playing. To me that song amounts to musical torture and every time I hear it it makes my ears bleed.

If you're from the US you know that there has been a pretty big debate raging about so called "enhanced interrogation" such as waterboarding. The argument that I have seen used the most to justify these forms of torture is basically that the ends justify...

Also, Torture is incredibly ineffective.
Torture also fails miserably if you do still employ barbaric methods like this.
Torture works if you do it right.
But here's my two cents.

Torture is more than hurting people. It's hurting people maliciously and in cold blood.
It's like how murder is more than killing someone. It's killing them with a certain intent, which we look on more harshly.
I don't see why one of them has to be valued...
