Since realising my drivetrain is totally gone im looking for replacements.
Wondering what decent 1/8th chains/cogs and rings are there? (4bolt).
Will be looking for red/black/silver parts.

The Orange EVO2 runs a TA 9 speed ring with 1 1/8th....
Is that ring 1/8th though?

I read that changing the chain ring from 44 T to 36 T with 20 T on the rear would make the cruiser a better ride. I have no hills where I ride but the inclines are hard on me with the present gear/sprocket set up.
So info. please whether you have done...

Sorry guys, I read some previous threads but I am still not clear on the chain rings replacement. On my 2011 Epic I have 24-38 (what some call X7) rings. If I buy "TruVativ XX Chainrings/Spider for Specialized S-Works crank" in 26-39 size
1. can I just...

O-ring chain or not? I have an 85 GPz 750 and after riding it a little, the chain is very loose. When I roll it foward I can get the chain to tighten up to factory specs on one spot, otherwise the chain is too loose. So its time for a new one. I'm not...

My old chain is getting a little kinky and I think it's time to replace it. What are your thoughts on the need to replace it with a O ring chain? I do about 70% hwy 30% dirt roads. My XT225 has a O ring chain on it now but are they really needed? I have...

The bike was much the extra ....
After that I fitted an o-ring.
An o-ring chain would have prevented that.
When I used to race 125's, an o-ring chain sucked by the water.
I'd be curious about other peoples opinions, too.

Going to a non-oring chain from a zzz chain, will it be noticeable at the track? They say it frees up hp.

Before you install the non o-ring chain in you'll be ok.
You will see the difference.
Switch over to the non o-ring and try it.
Pry your brake pads apart, then spin the wheel with the o-ring chain.
Yes it does.
