The Ritz-Carlton is very, don't think i will go....
They are all very expensive there has to be a shuttle bus service to get to Key Biscayne for the tennis .
Ritz Carlton hotels are generally expense account, business travelers.

Your expecting....Volleyball, drinking games, kid's games/pool, drunk people walking around screaming and yelling and all that fun stuff. If your expecting an adult crowd, quiet, great sun, great pool and amazing food, I highly recommend it..

We are a family of 4 with 2 teens (13 and 16) looking for an upscale resort to visit over Xmas 2008. Would the Ritz Carlton be a fun place for the whole family, or can you recommend somewhere better?

The problem with El Conquistador is that it is so big, I wouldn't want to hang around the Ritz....
Isle Verde where the Ritz is located is the better beach around San of airport noise audible from the Ritz.
Depends on what you want to do.
