Per my sister (your age) it's RIU cancun - she's been to both Definitely the Riu Cancun ! There is partying at the Riu Caribe but it's away from the hotel zone! Riu Cancun .

RIU's have Towers, between the RIU Cancun , and one of the Fiesta Americana $200/ night, 4 bedroom/4 baths staff, not....
More lively, but not as nice.
The RIU Cancun is adjacent.
Their pool area is small, beach rocky.

May 4, 2012 is what I keep finding on various sites .
I've stayed at the Riu Cancun and Riu Palace in Cancun several times and have generated photos on Riu's website.
To the Riu Caribe next week.

Like any resort it will have its growing pains until the staff is efficient go over to RIU Caribe , instead?....
At this point Live Aqua is two stars above the RIU.
I'm torn.
But a friend in our group wants to try Riu Palace instead.

I've been considering staying at riu palace, but when I looked at some pictures it seems to hardly have a beach. Can anyone tell me how the beach is there? Also, if you stay at riu palace do you have full access to riu cancun?
