Is Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula Open yet - if not when will it be open? Thanks!

I hope they're right! If it isn't fully open we will be put in the riu palace las Americas.
For the 5th of June, spoke to riu and Thomson and they said it will open 1st may 2012.

We are at the RIU now....we are a little dissapointed. NO beach to walk on! Our "Deluxe Oceanview" room was one floor BELOW the 1st floor! We could not see anything! THey moved us the second day to the 4th floor.

Every time I stay at the Riu Caribe they put.
The beach is wide, just not long.
Out the Riu Cancun and tell me what it's like :D Please Could you post some pics of the hotel next the width of the resort.

Making reservations for the a la cartw restraunts? I stayed at Riu Playacar a couple of years ago and was told that all the riu switched to Dos Equis (which is ok but not as good as corona) To make it there, We arrive 10th April ....

Ok...so lot's of negative reviews out there. What gives? I've been to Mexico several times, all to the Riviera Maya area and this will be a first to Cancun. We have stayed a luxurious resorts like Secrets Maroma, and also slightly lower end like at RIU...

We are going back to Cancun in April to the entire property though.
Your average buffett.
Food was good.
It is not close to shopping.

Riu Cancun , ME by Melia, or Gran Caribe Real are all good choices if you want to party and have Cancun worth paying the extra buck over Riu Caribe ! 5mins walking distance to the major night clubs is a HUGE plus for Riu....

I am going in april and will be trying out the Riu Palace Las Americas Cancun , Riu Cancun has nicer accommodations and walking distance to area nightlife.
Decided not to go there anymore.

We tried Secrets Silversands in July and loved the gorgeous suites and out of this world food, but it was SOOOO boring and uptight! So we booked Temptation Cancun for New Years and it was just the right level of excitement for us, but I was very greatful...

Maybe you're better off staying in Cancun, or at Royal Play Del Carmen so at Temptations that bad, I did manage to find fresh fruit, LOL) The RIU's are always a good time.
Until 12:30 or so every night.

I'm getting very frustrated trying to book our first AI to cancun. I find it frustrating that some web sites have good pricing on air and others on hotels but no site can seem to put it all together. And all the while i'm losing seats on the most attractive...

So the package comes out better Caribe and ....
Travelocity is giving me 4300 for the GR Caribe and 4050 for the RIU Cancun .
For instance right.
Clatoo - interesting as I find the complete opposite.
