I have a nice road bike but a lot in my club seem to have both road and TT.
Is there an advantage to them ?
Or they a disadvantage on a hilly course ?

Hi all
Ideas please the ol' issue of TT bikes and one's undercarriage getting squished!
I have an SLK saddle on the beast at the moment, which is my usual saddle of choice (I have them on my two road bikes), and this saddle has worked ok on the TT bike...

So I am pretty new to triathlons, started riding a road bike last year.
Got a used (about 10 years old ) Norco CCR1, shimano 105 components, did some minor upgrades and got a basic bike fit on it. Love the bike, and I generally average around 16-17 mph...

Fit of a TT bike is more critical than that of a road bike, as your elbows are locked test of various road vs TT config's.

OK I need your true life tales of what TT bike I could get for £1500.
Always raced with a road bike but have done some research in theory and race and was blown away by the TT bikes speed in a straight line even when both were rolling!

I thought I'd start a seperate thread purely for discussion of the bikes we are taking.
I'll more than likely be on a 660 Tenere (not 100% sure yet) with Wolfman soft luggage.

A good selection of maps is there anyone willing to convert so we can go by sat nav as well as road ordinates on some of the road maps which are useful for cross checking.
