If I enable hard reset protection, I assume it will survive a factory reset. But what happens if I install/flash a new ROM, will it survive that?

Make sure the phone is rooted and TA installed as system application and you're pretty .
TA is embedded in that rom and it dissapears when you flash a new rom.
Of course it wont survive flashing a rom.

A hard reset might (and probably does) remove fonts from phone memory that are not in ROM (read-only memory.
Fonts with all languages as part of the firmware, but they might be installed afterwards .

I have an Orbit 2. Got password problems and had to flash the Rom with O2 original upgrader. Worked OK and I now have the green Windows screen- but it does not respond to touch! Soft reset returns to Windows unresponsive screen. Have tried a hard reset...
