I am thinking about getting into baitcasting and have a few questions.
I like to use rooster tails because I catch alot of pan-fish, trout and few bass with them but I keep reading that you have to use heavier lures on baitcasters, so can I use a rooster...

For tiny trout-....
They are better, cast farther,,, not so.
It surely wont cast a rooster tail as far as a spinning reel.
That would be backlash city, the rooster tail is just to lite to throw on a baitcaster.
Or light lures.

Yeah, the water was still high but the clarity was great. .
I've never seen a lake get so muddy.
I stopped out there a few weeks ago after a big rain and it was complete mud .
The water looks better.
Nice outing.

Hi all,
I am wondering what everyone thinks makes the best tails on small (size 16 or smaller) drys and spinner patterns when you want them to float best. Moose, elk, deer seems too big, microfibbets don't have much floatation. I have not tried paintbrush...

Also with tricos just based on most patterns ....
For tailing material, seems to work great for many dry patterns and is becoming quiet popular as a tail mentioned spinners which atleast with tricos I feel a sparse tail fish better.

Being new to chickens, I really don't know what's normal or what's not. One thing that I've found very funny but odd with my in-laws hens are that now they no longer have a rooster, over time some of the hens have developed male characteristics such as...

In the latter case I'm given to understand it's....
But when honeybum was still around several of the hens had the rooster feathers be a dominance thing in the absence of a rooster, what I've heard called a 'hooster'.
That's around 5 or 6.
