BugBear Veritas router blades fit the Stanley #71 (so presumably then the tool is complete.
Use the same dimensions.

I Hit some of my Local shops up today on the Way home from work and run across a Older Craftsman Router, USA Made and 100% Ball Bearing. The seller only wanted $17.50 and he also had a Plane that was marked $5 bucks. I Dont Know jack about Old Planes ...

I was just wondering, what people thoughts were regarding sanding a piece of work prior to finishing as opposed to finishing with a smoothing plane or scraper?
I know that better results are had by planing but I must admit to only planing smaller items...

Mine has finish and I like to see a few subtle plane marks on a piece.
Difficult to push a hand plane and dislike power planes then a belt sander would be my choice.

Over the last 5-6 years I have collected about half a dozen hand planes. I keep seeing posts on here at about old planes that have been re-flattened and I have to wonder how bad they must have been to need that. Am I missing something? Is this a process...
