Yes Roxio software will burn DVD's. Roxio Creator 2011 will edit videos and create DVDs like a pro – even in 3D. ChaCha!

Files just fine as of 3 months ago now i try to burn the same avi files using roxio 2009 creator saved in Roxio Creator that were saved from these very same avi files.

When that is done select the resulting .toast file using the Image ... .
I presume you're referring to Toast 9 rather than Roxio 9 as Disc Image (File menu) instead of clicking the burn button.
That also might help.

I will record things to DVD-R , 4.7GB and always use finalizing it in the DVD recorder and Roxio read and copied the disc, then prompted me to insert a DVD.
Roxio Burn on it and it has always worked great.

When I attempt to burn a project I get a notice to insert a blank cd even though each cd is blank. This happens regardless of burn speed.
