My laptop kept freezing up so I ran combofix and it deleted the above file. Do I need to run more scans or has combofix sorted the problem?

I'm having a few problems running combofix and rootrepeal. I've let combofix run for over 2 hours when it's scanning files and says it's going to take 10 min or longer, it then freezes everything. Same thing on Rootrepeal.

Hello kind sirs. I have been following the read me EXACTLY and got thru 99% of it. Unfortunately, at the end of doing its thing, Combofix told me that it would need to reboot but told me explicitely NOT to reboot manually. I did not ever touch the computer...

I'm going through the procedure of uninstalling Combofix and Avast is going nuts. I wasn't able to use the Combofix scan log so what's the big deal. Do I need to disable Avast and my spyware to uninstall combofix?

But, I'd run what BadBigBen/antizero access.exe
Then, I might remove my anti-virus and run Combofix just as a final check.
Later, Combofix successfully removed it.
Nothing would remove it.

I was uninstalling ComboFix with the ComboFix /Uninstall command in Run, but near the end, it was stopped on one file, and after an hour or two, it wouldn't finish. So then I closed it with Task Manager, and tried uninstalling...

Is the ComboFix icon still on your desktop? If so, just rename.

Sounds like ComboFix may have hung up during the uninstall and so it failed to complete properly.
