I live near the ocean and have some minor rust developing at a few frame welds.
i have the proper frame color touch up paint-on bottle (scratch fix 2-1 touch up bottle w/ small brush) w/ me but wondering about prep.
i'm going to buy a small wire brush...

That's why i was thinking a dremel brush is i get all the rust off or can i ....
You can also use a "rust neutralizer" instead areas of rust so i think a full sized wheel brush is too much.
A primer with iron oxide as a base pigment.

I've been trying out the electrolysis method of rust removal and love how well it works. Definantally works best with a clean anode. I have read stainless steel makes the water toxic but does anybody know how well titanium works as a anode or any hazards...

I've been using the electrolosis method for rust removal on my F1 electro barrel it literally blew the rust off the parts.
And buy 5 gallons of vinegar for $10.

So i let my 600 sit for a few months then tried to start and ride it. it idles fine, but starts to choke out at 7k and wont go any higher. I am currently treating with evapo rust, as i found rust in the tank.

I finally sourced some Phosphoric acid (85%) and I am curious if anyone else has used it on their land cruisers. I have a few spots on the truck that I've rattle canned to try and keep the rust off but it keeps coming back... This time I'm also going ...

My body shop friend uses Rust Mort with success.

This is what I had to work with. A rusty/rotted mess! The PO found it 10' off the ground nesting in a tree that had grown up under it!
After a couple of weeks in a molasses bath the transformation is incredible!
You'll notice rust on the lower 6" or so...

Finally ... I found something to remove rust easily
Here's a test done on a child's scooter. Next time I see a rusty bike (shouldn't take long out here) this will save me a lot of effort!

You might want to work on a piece is not advised for normal rust removal, any more than the commercial chemical rust removers are.
rust removal can take time & patience, but the results are worth it.
