I've currently got dual GTX-280s in my system which supports triple SLI.
Am I better off getting a 3rd GTX-280 and going triple SLI, or using that 3rd video card as a PHYSX processor instead?
If i decide to go the Physx route, does it matter how powerful...

I looked into the MOJO board but i don't think its really worth the extra money.
I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Have you connected a 4-pin molex power cable to the SLI / XFIRE Power Quadro FX 4600 and tried putting them on my Asrock Extreme 4 Gen 3 board.

I have not explored NVidia SLI in a while, but I remember it being impossible to use more than one monitor in SLI mode. Is this still true or has the support for this gotten better?

Said that, if you find the right board, you could theoretically run two in SLI and a third cardSLI has multi-monitor support now since the GeForce 180 driver.

You did not mention what version of Windows 7 you have .

But to answer your question directly, the 690's in quad-SLI will outperform three 680's in most games (including Metro 2033).
That setup will run Metro 2033 maxed out in 3D at 1080p .
In SLI and forget about the PhysX card.
