I've currently got dual GTX-280s in my system which supports triple SLI.
Am I better off getting a 3rd GTX-280 and going triple SLI, or using that 3rd video card as a PHYSX processor instead?
If i decide to go the Physx route, does it matter how powerful...

I have not explored NVidia SLI in a while, but I remember it being impossible to use more than one monitor in SLI mode. Is this still true or has the support for this gotten better?

Its a great board but the layout for SLI isn't.

Exactly on the evga board :-) What a dumb layout.
OC'd the 7970 should be a good idea to just switch motherboards .
Even the 7970 won't quite match the performance of your 560 Ti SLI setup.

This is the only thing i have not tried yet. Im getting random cold reboots (more often than not) and i think ive narrowed it down to using 2 video cards. When im only using 1 in the main slot I have ZERO problems. I had no random reboots over a 2 week...

Generally you have to populate the primary or first slot to get the SLi.
To the third slot on a 3XSLi board I'm assuming you have the EVGA board you get all three slots running at x8 instead of x16.

Still you are not capable to utilize SLI and GPU at the maximum circumstances.

In your case, yes they will probably sli.
They seem like they are made from teh same board (like a hd6970 and a hd6950 or, intel i7 970xm and a 950xm) They are all the same board, just one is more expensive than the other.
