Not sure if the hack was into linux or SMF but my SMF index.php was changed. but installing a new version does not help

I don't want to send post text or contents in announcement email I have already tick (use) the option Don't allow post text in notifications? but its not working and email announcement is submiting include post contents or text please resolve this problem...
