Aluminum vs SS props "... there were some minor dings on my stainless steel prop. I checked the runout on the shaft to see if it was bent and it checked out okay, and then I installed an aluminum prop

Re: Aluminum vs SS props from what I have read a SS prop has no real advantage unless your, I run a ss prop on a 20hp outboard and I definately have noticed the difference over the factory.

I had this prop on my 21' Bryant with a 454 and Bravo outdrive.
Posted 59.3 mph at a shade over 4200 RPM, so about 6% slip. This prop bites HARD! I can trim it all the way up.
Blades are pristine, still looks like new.

It has no name on it but it is 15x17 with 391290 cast, i have a feeling that prop will be the ticket....
I just recently did some prop testing with Huey and in the end we went with a 15" Rebel a 3 blade older johnson stainless prop to try.

Re heard really good things with 125 HP....
If they do work well, the cheap blade replacement is nifty .
If nothing else, it would have made a decent emergency prop.
I might have tried a 4 blade prop but they didn't make the pitch I wanted.

Thru the water and if the transom is long shaft then the Rogue style prop works well with the V4 15 prop (5300 RPM's WOT)

Water spraying out side of prop area? Any one know if this is an issue or not, when under way and look back there is a spray shooting out the back of the boat from the prop area, normally only happens with a light load so I'm guessing the prop is a little...
