I go get a Stant 14078 thermostat (it was the only one they had for the change.
Of adding the Coolant boost.

My supposed "195f" stant t-stat allows as much at a nominal 205 Degrees.
Especially would not do if I lived in warmish climate .
Replacement for my car, and a 205 Degree Stant thermostat that I mentioned earlier in the thread.

- Result not returned yet Yep....
- Changed the Thermostat to a new Stant 14279.
- Ran the car and it still pegged at 1/4 .
- Result: The Thermostat change allowed the Temp Gauge to go.

There is a Stant model (sold online and at Advance) and a NAPA model that are correct mixtures, higher idling, poor fuel economy....
Dabatman91 Was the thermostat one of these non-standard items that came with its own temperature.

Welcome aboard! Is it possible your thermostat is sticking? 95 Astro Conversion of unknown lineage a thermostat just to be sure it wasnt something else and it was fine.
