I am arriving at JFK in the mid evening and travelling alone (female). I am unsure whether to book a transfer to midtown with NYAS - - I used them once before a few years ago and they were fine but reviews online recently are mixed - or use the airtrain...

As said before the train (subway or LItR) are safe.
Probably safer by my statement.
The subway is as safe as the LIRR.
Is a really safe ride, with few stops along the way.

The Glasgow subway is private property and the owners can ban/restrict photography if they want photographs, or make video....
As not to break their own laws? ;) ) to be honest its more of another daft article in AP - the subway is private.

Me and my mother are going to New York in june. Our flight comes in at La Gaurdia. I dont want to pay for a shuttle or taxi. How hard is it to take the bus and subway from the airport to our hotel at times square with luggage? We arrive at 3pm on a weekday...

There you board the Manhattan bound N or Q at a map first and see what the closest station to your hotel is .
On the M60 bus and take it to the subway stop at Astoria Blvd.

Eating at Subway I was wondering if anyone has ever asked for the fillings without the bread, and if so did they actually do it?
They actually have vegetarian steak (full of fat) at ours so if I can get it without the bread I'll be a high-fat vegan low...

Shame on Subway's owners for not letting those workers leave early to go home! They barely made it out of there alive. I am appalled by their uncaring actions to make them stay there and tell them "if it gets too bad, you can go to the freezer"....

I have yet to go around DC and take legitimate city pictures...but I was there on Thursday for a workshop at the Washington Post, and I shot some stuff of the Blue and Orange Line subway stations. I envy them, obviously .
