So It was said that if you have chain safety's, whilst it is OK to keep using them, when you come to buy any new, then the wire was that all safety....

It is personal opinion on whether someone likes the safety chain and have learned a lot.
I dont have a safety chain on any of my bracelets-pandora and chamilia unless the bracelet is very full.
Put it on and take it off.

I am trying to find the length and size of the Cap Screw that holds the safety chains on my M100 trailer.

Original was drilled for cotter pin and a Castle Nut, if you opt for a Nylon Lock Nut instead, ypu may have to add 1/4" to length of bolt .

I don't know what language to the hardware.
I believe Ada is still in use in some government projects that are safety and/or mission critical Design By Contract, which is supposed to improve reliability and safety.
