Overall....
We've had some decent days on the Salmon, with nothing breaking 20 lbs so far, but for late, with a new guest from Edmonton.
For another couple hours for another Long Distance release on a Salmon and one Chicken Halibut been.

I have not eaten ling cod, but have eaten halibut, reds and kings. I am kind of fussy when it comes to eating fish. I don't even enjoy eating fresh trout because they taste fishey to me. ( I know that is weird - but that is me ). I love catching all kinds...

That being said, I'd! Personally, I wouldn't walk across the street for all the halibut up here.
But salmon, ling, halibut and the various rock fish I've tasted I absolutely love.

The only thing to consider on a combo halibut/salmon charter is mid-June halibut....
It would be a full day trip and i dont care at heath@seagoalaska.org .

I am going on a chartered Halibut trip on Saturday and I am curious why you are not allowed to fish for or retain any other species of fish while halibut are on board?? Anyone know??

In the deeper areas where halibut are targeted.

Good stuff, Critr! 22lr kills halibut well but it's not a good idea to shoot on the water, especially....
I never targeted big halibut but occasionaly of a barndoor with a poon.
For sharks (mako, thresher and salmon) you are killing to eat.

If I knew I was restricted to one halibut at 20 pounds, I would go fish, net yield (est) 10lb fillet halibut....
