As the title says two lcd tv's for sale first one is 37'' Hitachi L37VP01U & the second is the Samsung LE32R74BD. both screens work but the remote control on the samsung does not work anymore and there is a dark spot in the middle of the screen only visible...

The plasma is 720p and the LCD is 1080i.
I sit 2.5m to 3m or so away from the tv.
I have sky hd.
They're both pretty much the same price.
I understand that I may not see 1080i from that distance? I currently have a foehn and hirsch 32" 720p tv that is...

The LCD can handle 1080 p signals without scaling (i.e.
I notice the Samsung has - they just scale.
Just to add something to the mix, toshiba 40bv701, 1080p, 40,000:1, 50hz .
