Hi all,
4 weeks ago had offer accepted on our new house. Need £70K mortgage (30% LTV) so decided to go with Abbey as they offer free survey, no product fees, cashback etc to current account holders (worth £1750 approx) so lovely jubbly I thought!

So, the issues started when Abbey Santander came back to us stating in the granny annex and gifting....
That's where it went, clearly stating these points.
Santander Abbey to offer £165,000 in prinicpal.

My Mum has an account with Santander, which she can't withdraw money from because she doesn't have id. She went into a branch in early December and they said they would send her a bankcard, which she could use as id. She tells me this is the second time...

Reading on the site it would seem that we can reclaim mortgage arrears fees - does anyone have any good template letters for these that maybe has worked for them?
Abbey decided to charge me late payment fees on a payment they had lost at £40 a time

I have a small business credit card with Santander (issued by MBNA), originally taken out with alliance and Leicester. Today i received a Barclaycard as a "replacement". I have not had any prior notification from Santander ... I may have had prior letters...

Firstly please forgive me but I am absolutely maths dyslexic! However, I recently came into a little money and I had a normal Santander current account (I was in the preferred overdraft rate but at the moment thankfully don't need to use the facility)...

And the Santander form for applying, and there's a box to be ticked asking if you an existing customer (& it can't come from another Santander account - has to come from an outside source)).

Long story short - I originally had a 100% mortgage with N&P - then lost my job but repayments were covered by insurance, due to it being a 100% mortgage /account in arrears I was on a higher rate than usual - account then changed to Abbey and then Santander...
