I am looking to buy a bull barrel .17 HMR in the south west michigan area. I am going to put a BSA sweet 17 scope on it. So unless it already comes with a sweet 17, I don't want to buy it with a scope on it. Looking to spend 300 or less. My funds are ...

On Target gun shop wanted up a bull barrel, accutrigger ....
The ones I have seen have been, accutrigger savage 17 HMR from dunhams for 200$!! It was on sale, 30$ off.
Get a bull barrel savage .17 new from dunhams or dicks for that price.

Shaw will make one up at a reasonable price cheaper than the gunsmith route, unless you already have a donor.
I am considering getting a new FN M-70 Featherweight in 22-250 and having it re-barrelled to .250 Sav. I think that would be a sweet rifle.

" and I ain't.
Or just replace the box in it with parts from Brownells. .
Yeah, but a short action in 243 or 7/08 or 308 could easily be rebarreled to 250 Savage...
Be better off starting with a .243 or .308.

Hey guys,
I am working on that Stevens 6.5 Creedmoor build. The bolt has the "Stevens" logo on it and I want to remove it. It looks like it is maybe silk screened on or something.
Does anybody have a solution to remove it?

Stevens 200 Short Action
B&C A2 Medalist
Rifle Basix SAV-1
SSS Bolt Handle off topic....
No more "Stevens".
A friend recently built a bench gun on a Savage target action and he the bolt sleeve.
Bead blast or sand it off.

Thinking of building a .22LR for the summer for Gophers!
trying to decide on a semi auto Ruger 10-22
or
a bolt action Savage Mark II BSEV in 22LR
any thoughts? Savage seems like a better built package for accuracy but costs more and is bolt action...

Cat One vote for semi auto.
If you want a new one, Savage builds a decent gun....
These are built on the Anschutz 64 action and are super accurate.
310 for about $400.
For a decent bolt action, you can often find a C.I.L.

I had a thread awhile back asking for opinions on bolt action rifles...but i've decided just to get a .22lr since they're cheap to shoot and cheap to buy. Any opinions on this one i found at Gander Mountain?

The magazine and follower will work buy you may need to tweek the feed lips a bit .
For the 112, all you'll need is a bolt head.
For the 11, you will need a short action 308 bolt head and a regular short action firing pin.

If you were going to buy a .22 bolt action to suppress what would you buy?

I went with and highly medium rings give excellent positioning... .
Much nicer than a savage or marlin, albeit more expensive...
Bumper I agree on the CZ.
The action is easy to bed and the trigger can be nicely tuned without buying aftermarket parts.
